Prologue:

2892 – Ivon Star System

Battle Raged across the view screen. "So much destruction…. Will it ever end?" A man said to himself; his uniform was green with red trim.

Many ships were within the screen, Republic and Vor’na Vessels alike. Beams spread across the screen; he was in the middle of a war. The volleys of Beam cannon fire illuminated many of the Republic and Vor’na Cruisers.

The ship shook, "It’s getting worse each time. We lose more and more ships to the Republic. Although we have been victorious in every battle thus far, I have a bad feeling."

"What’s wrong my love?" A woman walked up behind him and embraced him from behind.

He turned around to look at the woman with short brown hair, in a uniform not unlike his. He gently wrapped his arms around her, "Well," he smiled, "I’m just worried, that’s all."

"You know," she said with a smile as the ship rocked again, "You’ve got me remember?"

"Yeah that’s right. Nothing’ll go wrong while you’re here by my side." He slowly moved his hands across her face, looking deep into her beautiful red eyes.

"You’re right my love," she smiled, placed her hand on the back of his neck and gently kissed him. It almost seemed as if time stood still for her, he was the only thing that mattered to her, not the stupid war, not those Vor’na, nothing else but him.

He moved away to look at her beautiful face, "Well I just hope it ends soon." The ship shook violently, and pushed the couple away from each other. A "beep" emanated from his communicator attached to his neck.

Pressing his hand up against the comm. unit, he said, "Yes? What is it?"

The woman looked at him, wishing not to leave the man she loved, "What’s wrong my love?"

"I understand; I will go immediately." He turned around toward her, "It’s the ship, that last vibration was from a boarding vessel attaching itself to our hull. I’ve been ordered to neutralize the threat. They are headed in our direction, according to the bridge."

"Let me go with you" She said with fright in her eyes, not wishing to leave her love for the fear of losing him.

As she spoke, around the corner came the boarding party. There were three soldiers in all; they were all in the standard Republic combat suits. Silver for the most part, but with many black linings, making it look somewhat like scales. Their orders were to try to successfully take over the ship, a suicide mission if you will.

A shot rang out from the lieutenant of the group, "Got one!" he yelled in triumph.

The love of his life, in the green uniform, coughed with wide eyes and fell onto his chest.

"No!" He yelled as he held her up, "No… I won’t… let them… take you away from me!" Grasping his beloved in his arms, tears poured out of his eyes. A redness, dark like blood, filled his vision.

"What the hell!?" cried the lieutenant.

Everything around him began to slow, almost as if frozen in time. He looked up at the soldiers with a terrible rage, a rage of which he had never felt before. It overwhelmed him, consumed every rational thought he had left in his mind. All he could think of was those pathetic soldiers in front of him; how he was going to tear them apart with his bear hands.

"Kill him!" yelled the lieutenant. At that moment the soldiers opened fire upon him. The lasers from the soldier’s weapons seemed to go right through him; at least that’s what the soldiers thought. As the lasers came at him, he dodged at an ease of which he’s never felt before. To the soldiers, it looked as if he merely stood still.

"What the hell is he?" cried a soldier in the back of the group.

A high-pitched cackle came from the man; the soldiers recoiled with fright at the man that seemed to be godlike.

He charged at a speed of which the soldiers could not contend with. The lieutenant in front of the group seemed to blow apart right in front of their own eyes. The blood and mutilated flesh sprayed across the room, almost as if in a perfect sphere.

"Good god! Lets get the hell out of here!" cried a soldier covered with the lieutenants insides.

The man saw his pathetic attempt to run from him. Taking out his knife, he quickly ran up behind him and slashed the center of his back. The soldier made a small cry of pain before he was cut in two. The blood from his body sprayed the walls in a quick, straight line. The two parts of the soldier’s body fell onto the floor in the two separate pieces; the blood oozed across the floor, running into the rest of the soldier group.

At this sight, filled with horror and despair, the group all ran, but in vein. The godlike man smiled in a sadistic glee, he did not feel any emotions toward the people whom attacked his beloved. He quickly took out his knife and ran after the group.

One by one, the group of three fell to the floor at a lightning quickness. The man slashed at their necks, sending the heads flying into the air, blood trailing behind them in a violent display of carnage.

Throwing down his weapons, he ran over to his beloved. He held her up and ran towards the medical bay. Many people were there lying on the floor, dead. Blood was smeared across the floor; it seemed that there was originally more than those five people.

The man didn’t even have to look where he was going; he had been through these halls many times. He closed his eyes and began to think of the impossibly real event of which is happening to him right now.

Chapter One: Mining operation

2882 – Regulas Star System

"Hey John!" Kira, with a giddy smile yelled, " come over here, I’ve found some Boranium!" John left his navigational console and walked over to Kira, whom was sitting in her chair

"Well John, what do you think?" She asked with a smile. She looked at John, longing for the touch of the man in brown baggy clothing. John was white with brown hair and his face was smooth to the touch. Kira had touched his face before, but not in the manner she wished. His clothing weren’t what Kira would say that brought out his physically fit body. He was strong and muscular, but his clothing didn’t show it. His clothing made him look like he was scrawny, but in fact he is pretty tall, about six foot one inch, taller than her by far, but the most beautiful thing about him, to her, was his eyes. They were a brilliantly pure blue; she never saw eyes quite like that. She could remember being lost in his eyes forgetting about everything but John. She knew everything about him, the good and the bad.

"It may be worth something," John replied while crouching next to her, "How deep is it?"

"Lets see.." Kira quickly pressed a key combination, "It’s only 50 meters down!"

John patted Kira’s shoulder, walked back to the navigational console and said, "Alright lets get to work." John plotted a course, which was into a semi-small asteroid field. "Kira, get onto the drill control unit. I’ll get us there and you mine it; you’re better than me at that."

"Yeah, you know me John!" She replied and walked over to the Drill control unit.

In the center of the brown and silver room was the navigational panel. Up in the front, near the forward windows, were multiple panels, the comm. panel, the sensors, and the scanning controls. The floor of the bridge was silver and the walls were light brown. In the back of the room, there were seats on the backsides (left and right) and a few feet ahead of the door to the rest of the ship was the mining panel. The door in the back of the bridge leads to the rest of the ship, the dining room, the recreational room, John and Kira’s rooms and the cargo bay.

The Venture’s engines swirled with violent red flames as the after burner powered up. It sped forward, going nearer and nearer to the asteroid field. It was not particularly vast, but their target was. This asteroid spanned across one mile, which was extremely large and asteroids that size usually had very large deposits of Boranium.

A few "thuds" and "clanks" could be heard inside the ship because of rocks in the asteroid field hitting the hull. Though it seems as if it shouldn’t be hitting these rocks in space, the Venture has a very strong hull that can wistand a lot of damage. The closer the Venture got to its target asteroid, the larger it seemed to them, even though they knew of it’s massiveness, it still made a larger impression on John and Kira. They looked at each other and she clapped with joy.

Kira squealed with joy, "Wow! It’s really big, eh John!" She ran to John and grabbed his shoulders, "This should give us a lot of Boranium! We’ll get a lot for this!"

John Put his hand on hers and looked toward her face. She made him feel warm inside some how. She was tan, even though she didn’t get in the sun often, because she was usually inside the ship. Her eyes always fascinated John; they were a blazing red. Although Kira was shorter than him, she has always been ready to take on tasks with John even though she was only five feet five inches. She usually wore a skintight top with no sleeves and had a vest on top of it; the shirt really gave away her physical body, revealing a good portion of her washboard stomach and her slim arms. Her shirt was white and the vest was blue. Her skirt was tight against her skinny legs; a white streak went down the center of a blue skirt. "Maybe her excitement is rubbing off," he thought. "Yeah Kira," he smiled, "What do you think we should do with the money?"

Turning John around to face her, she said, "well I was thinking that maybe we could get the upgrades for the engine, the drill, the shields, and the navigational controls. We could really use those. Our drill is getting old you know." She smiled.

"Well, it still works well right? I mean it’s not like it’s broken. I can see why we would replace the navigational controls. Ours are extremely outdated. It’s 2 years old! I’ve had some trouble with it."

"Oh come on!" She said and playfully hit his shoulder, "That thing’s ten years old! How could you say it still works well?"

"Okay, we might as well if we get enough." He replied.

"See, there you go! I know what I’m talking about. Now I’ll get back to the drilling." She walked over to the drilling console and pressed a few keystrokes. BEGIN DRILLING? Read across the screen. "Okay here it goes!" she said and pressed the begin button, to start drilling.

Outside the ship, a large panel dropped five feet and slowly retracted back, leaving a portion of the ship vulnerable. A mechanical arm, silver with rotating jagged disks slowly came down through the opening. The arm was somewhat like a human arm, one joint in the center, and another that could rotate to spin around. The arm was dated 2872 on the side in fine print, and this year was 2882.

"Hey John! We’ve got penetration!" She shouted with delight, "It’ll take around ten minutes. I have it on alarm to say when it’s finished, so we can do whatever."

That’s good, Kira, what did you have in mind?" John replied and walked over to her.

"Well there isn’t much to do in our ship, but we could just talk about whatever were gonna do after this mining operation."

Okay Kira," he said with a smile, "Where do you want to go after this?"

"Well I was thinking we could visit Regulas Prime, and sell the metal to Bert, the colonel we sell to."

John Laughed, "That’s what we usually do, you know. What else did you have in mind?"

"Well I learned that they have a new station up by Regulas Prime. It’s supposed to have tons of stuff to do!" she smiled and clapped, "That’s exactly what you need John." She walked over and crouched down to face him, "You haven’t had any fun for a while." She frowned, "So this would be a grate place for ya!"

"Yeah I guess so, but are you sure the cost is low?"

Kira stood up, with her hands on her lips, "of course john! Relax for once!" She playfully hit his shoulder and sat next to him. "Tell me anything you’d want to do and I’ll tell you if you can, okay?"

"Alright, how about an exercise facility?"

"Got one."

"Shopping center?"

"Got one." She replied with a giggle.

"Well it seems they have everything eh Kira?"

"You bet! So you wanna go after we sell that load?"

"If you want to, sure." He replied.

"Oh, hey John?" Kira asked uneasily.

"What’s up?"

"Well have you heard the recent reports from the republic about those Vor’na?" Kira was giving John one of her serious looks.

"Yeah, why?"

"Well, I don’t know really, other than that they were taking civilians in republic space and experimenting on them. I guess I’m just a little worried, that’s all."

"Well don’t you worry," John smiled, "You’re a tough woman," John gently hit Kira’s tanned arm, "Besides, you’ve got me."

"Thanks John," Kira moved closer to John. For a few moments, they just looked at each other, slowly moving closer. Kira said slowly and quietly, "I-"

"DRILLING AND EXTRACTION COMPLETE!" Kira looked away quickly and said, "Well I guess I should go check."

"Y-yeah, I guess." Replied John.

Kira stood up and started moving toward the control panel. "Hey Kira.."

"Yeah John?"

"Oh, um well.. I’ll tell ya later."

Kira smiled at John, "Sure.. O-okay." Kira stooped over the control panel, "Oh my God!"

"What Kira?" John quickly stood up, running toward Kira, "What’s wrong Kira?"

John put his hand on her shoulder.

"Nothings wrong John," she said looking at him, "we just have a lot of ore!" Kira said while giggling.

"How much exactly?"

"Two tons!"

"T-two tons??" he staggered back, Just thinking of what he could do with the money. "That’ll last us for years! I bet the Republic will be happy!"

"Kira turned around and hugged him, "I’m so happy John. We’ll be able to buy more than just the parts we need!"

John rubbed her upper back, "Yeah I’ll contact Bert. He’ll be surprised." He moved back and said, "What would I do without ya?"

She smiled, "You’d be poor!" John laughed at her comment, "What’s the matter John? I was just kidding around." Kira frowned and looked into Johns Blue eyes, searching for an answer.

"I laughed because you’re probably right Kira. But, I have you Kira." Kira beamed a smile at John.

John walked over to the comm. Panel and opened up the Republic menu. WHAT STAR SYSTEM? Displayed on the panel. "Regulas." Said John, "The man’s name is Bert Kord."

PLEASE WAIT….

"This always takes forever," John said with a frown.

"Well what do you expect, John, From OUTDATED technology," Kira giggled because she new that John gets flustered over it.

"Yeah, who’s.. Oh yeah John, what’s up?" said Bert. His republic uniform is mainly white, but down the center along the buttons is a stripe of blue. On his shoulders, medals hung for his earlier efforts in the war with the Vor’na. The collar of his uniform has four golden arrows, sets of two facing each other. The man’s face has many scars, from wounds he had received over his years of service. His face is pale and so are his eyes and he has ash gray hair.

"I have some Boranium. A lot of it."

"How much John?"

"Two tons."

"What!?" Bert fell over his chair, and along with him the coffee he held splashed onto his uniform, the once brilliant white and blue uniform was now a light brown in some areas. "That’s hot!" Bert yelled as he picked up his char and sat down.

John smiled, "Nice one Bert!"

Bert frowned, "Yeah well it’s a lot of Boranium

"Yeah I know, that’s how Kira and I reacted when we found out." John laughed, "So how much will you be givin’ us?"

"I’d say about one thousand credits (equivalent of five thousand in US dollars)"

"That’s good. It will take us about a day to reach you in normal space."

"I’ll see you tomorrow then, Bert out." The screen flashed to darkness and the Republic symbol, a shield with a snake pointing upward, was shown. John pressed the exit button and turned to Kira, "Hey Kira, can you set a course for Regulas Prime?"

"Sure I’m on it!" Kira said and ran to the navigation console. Kira typed in the coordinates. The ship rattled as the engines powered up, "Okay, course set John. Wanna go see our prize with me?" Kira smiled at John.

"Sure," John said, "Let’s go."

Kira and John walked through the door into a corridor. It had five doors, two on the left, two on the right, and one at the end of the corridor. Along the wall there’s two stripes of blue, one at the top and one at the bottom and in between, silver metal. They walked straight to the door at the end of the corridor and John reached for the panel on the right hand side of the door, pressed the button on the right side of the panel and the door slid to the left.

Kira and John call this room the cargo bay, but the corner is really where the cargo is stored. In the center of the room is the giant arm used for drilling. The rest of this room is just used for whatever needs to be stored.

John and Kira walked to an object like a giant box. It reached to the very top of the room and is silver in color. This box, which is where the Boranium is stored, had four giant door like panels, and it has a frame around them. John pressed a button on the right side of the box and after doing this, the box seemed to open up. The doors on all sides slid down, revealing the Boranium. The Boranium is a black crystal like substance, when unrefined. When it is refined, it becomes as brilliant as real silver, but much stronger. The only known way of cutting through this substance is by using lasers of extremely high power. It did not let any of the Boranium fall out.

The now clear box’s content made John fall onto the floor "I .. have never seen this much Boranium before. I’m so glad we found it!"

Kira sat down next to him, put her arm over his shoulders and said, "Yeah I’m glad we found it." She smiled and helped him up.

"I’m okay Kira, it’s just that… I’m still taking it all in."

"Yep It’s a lot to take in John. So now that we’re done, wanna go eat? After that I think I’m going to go to bed. I’m getting tired." Kira yawned and patted John on the back.

"Hey Kira?"

"What’s up John?"

"Well I was just thinking," John scratched his head, "oh nothing, lets go eat."

Kira sighed and together they walked out of the cargo room. In the corridor, they walked over to the first door on the right hand side, nearest the cargo room.

The dining room isn’t very large, maybe twenty feet by twenty feet, It has a two rooms, basically, inside of one. The floor of this, along with every other room in the ship, is just a bare steel floor.

The larger room is for eating; it has a brown wooden (one of the very few wooden items in the ship) table, and around it are two black, somewhat old, chairs. A light fixture, which had five light bulbs, has one larger than the rest, hanging over the table. To the far right of the room lies the Viewing Screen, they used it for watching the news mainly. At the wall opposing the door, most of the silver ware and other utensils used for eating are stored in the steel cupboard, which is no taller than Kira. The different utensils, such as the forks, spoons, knives, cups, and glasses are on the top half of the cupboard, neatly separated from forks to glasses. The plates took up the entire bottom half of the cupboard and there are all kinds of different plates inside the cupboard, from plain white to tie die!

The second room is pretty narrow, four feet by twenty feet. This room is used to cook the food. The room is on the left hand side of the larger room, and there is only a wall that is three feet high dividing it to call it a separate room. The back portion of the cooking room has all of the food, spices, etc. The shelf reaches up to the ceiling, stuffed to the point where you wouldn’t be able to put anything else inside it and the shelf itself is steel. It has about 10 different drawers of many sizes. Under the counter that separated the two rooms, are the different cooking appliances and other safety equipment. The other walls, next to the door and opposing the one next to the door are bare steel walls.

Kira walked into the cooking room, "I’ll have our food ready in twenty minutes," she said with a yawn. Putting on her favorite apron, which is white as white can be, she began to get the materials out for cooking a steak dinner.

"Hey John, might as well turn on the View Screen and see what’s up in the news."

"Alright," John said and walked over to the VS (View Screen) and picked up the remote. He then sat down in his usual chair and turned it on.

"There has been an update in the war," said the man in the VS said. He is wearing a black dress outfit, just like any other broadcasting reporter would, he was pretty pale and his hair was a very dark brown, "The republic has been found that the Vor’na have not stopped in their abductions. Those that have been abducted were usually found with their eyes torn apart, but the rest of the bodies are seemingly untouched. I have General Monak with me at this time to speak of why they may be doing this."

The screen split into two different frames and the man now on was a very old man. His face was pretty damaged it would seem because of what he probably went through while in the service of the republic as a young man. His uniform resembled Bert’s extremely. It was the same white and blue uniform, except for the fact that he had six golden arrows, two sets of three pointing toward each other at the collar.

"Welcome General Monak," said the anchor.

"Hello, I am glad to be of assistance."

"Yes I’m sure you are. I have a question for you. Does the Republic know why exactly all of the bodies have been untouched with the exception of the eye on all of the bodies?"

"We have our theories, some of which most likely should not be said in public. But I do have one that we can share."

"Go ahead General."

"Well the people whom all that have been abducted had a birth mark on their bodies."

"A birth mark? Why wouldn’t that be a coincidence?"

"Well they all have the same basic pattern. If you didn’t know what you were looking for, you would never find it."

"That’s strange, can you give us a picture of what it looks like?"

"Certainly, here it is." A drawing of an eye came into view. There was a distinctive mark on the iris. On the iris are strange lines, kinds that John had never seen before. They made semi circles around the pupils, some long, some short, and some that connected with more than one line. "We are not sure why they are after these people with these birth marks, but we know that it cannot be good."

"General, is there anything else that you can tell us?"

"Sorry, but I am prohibited to give any more information than that. Those who have the mark must be wary. The Vor’na can find these things out very easily."

"Thank you General Monak. In other news, there has been an ele-" John shut off the VS.

"Why’d ya turn it off?" asked Kira as she walked out of the kitchen carrying two steaks on plates. The steaks are sirloin, somewhat small, and next to them are peas and some liquid supplements.

"Good work Kira; you’ve always have been a great cook," John smiled.

"Thanks, so why’d ya turn it off?" Kira sat down and passed him a plate.

"It’s all that we need to hear, besides the food’s out now. Also, they’re just gonna talk about the new republic elected official."

"Yeah, but it’d be nice.. never mind."

Usually when they eat, John will quickly eat and Kira will laugh while she eats whenever she sees him do that. John began to eat like he usually does. Kira laughed, "Do ya have to eat like that all the time? You’ll choke!"

John looked up, smiled quickly and went back to his eating. Kira took the liquid supplement, ripped the top off of the silver bag and poured it into a glass of water. The liquid is a syrupy brown color and it always took about three seconds to poor the supplement into water. It would slowly flow down, into the water, but once it was all in, it would fizz when the two components mixed, and it changed the water into Belon. Belon is a liquid that has an un-definable taste, which is why people call it a belonian taste.

John stood up, with plate and glass in hand, "I think I’m gonna go to bed." He yawned.

"Okay," replied Kira, "I’ll see ya in a while then."

"They both said good night and John walked out into his room. It wasn’t very face, or large for that matter, it is only ten feet by ten feet and has brown walls and a silver metal floor. The room has his bed, which has brown blankets and one white pillow. It’s only meant for one person and John didn’t mind it. His bed is positioned in the upper right hand corner of his room. Opposite of the bed in his room are his closet and a drawer. The drawer was built into the rooms wall when the ship was created, so it is made of steel and isn’t anything that we would call fancy, but John didn’t care about being fancy. His closet is where he houses his outer ware, such as his shirts, pants, and belts. He has many styles of clothing, but most are brown in some way or another.

Outside the ship all seemed peaceful and the venture flew through space, the dark, vast, nothingness that is the vacuum. The stars, although with their brilliant shine in the background looked close, they are really so far apart that in normal space it would take days just to reach an extremely close star. That is why the Republic and the Vor’na built the jump gates. Once they were peaceful and worked together, but something happened between the two races. It happened so long ago that most have forgotten why the war started and why the Republic and the Vor’na hate each other. Some say it was because of land disputes and some say that it was over religion. Others, which according to the reports the Vor’na are believe, say that there is a mark that means something, but no one knows for certain. At least the Republic says they do not.

"Are you certain he’s ready?"

"Yes, I am certain."

"But what if it fails?"

"It won’t, the procedure will go as planned."

A fierce pain penetrated his eye, as if it were being scooped up. Opening his other eye, he saw two men stooping over him. No words could come out as hard as he would try, he just couldn’t.

"He’s awake!" said the fat man, "Are you sure we should go on with this?"

"Yes, continue doctor," replied a voice.

"What the hell are they doing to me!?" he thought.

The fat man placed some sort of glass object into his eye; John had no idea what it was. The fat man drew back, John’s eye exposed.

"Why are they doing this?" He wondered with thought.

The fat man came back with some sort of gun like object in his hand. It was white, not a metallic way, but just plastic white. The tip of it has three sharp prongs sticking mere millimeters apart from each other. The object is pretty small and light, light enough that you could probably throw it across the room without difficulty. The fat man moves in closer towards John, moved the pieces of his torn eye back into place and moves the object over his eye. The gun emanated a red laser onto his eye; the pain increases in his eye from the hot laser. The laser was closing up the tears, slowly and painfully it ceiled the eye shut. The extreme pain left John, but it still remained sore from the ware on his eye. He was relieved that it was finally over, but he feared of what will happen next. He remembered the casting on the VS, about the abductions and began to squirm. Trying, futilely to get out of the room.

"Doctor sedate him."

"Yes sir." The doctor (fat man) said.

The doctor leaves and comes back with a syringe. It is a basic medical syringe, plastic graduated portion where the plug is stuck and a need protrudes from the other end. The liquid is a greenish yellow and it emanates a smell, like rotten eggs, even though it is already inside a container. The doctor moves his arm to John’s neck, and slides it in. John felt the sudden sensation of the needle tearing through his outer muscle and quickly, but painfully, the tranquilizer is injected into him.

John thinks to himself as he blacks out, "Oh crap."

John sprang up in his bead, "Just a nightmare, " he said to himself as he wiped sweat off of his fore head, beads of sweat were slowly moving across the features of his face. John pushed his brown covers away from him and slid out of bead. He was wearing a white T-shirt, it had very short sleeves for comfort, and brown flannel pants, which were very soft to the touch. John moved to the door, leading to his closet and pulled out a blue shirt, with long sleeves and brown pants, more or less what we would call jeans. Draping these over his left arm, he shut the door and took out undergarments from his dresser drawers, next to his bed, and placed those on top of his outer clothing. Even though the room was door, john was able to navigate himself to the door.

The hallway was silent, "Most likely Kira’s sleeping," he said groggily. The door to opposite of his room, the door closest to the bridge that led to the recreational room and it also contained the Vibration Shower and the Waste Unit.

The recreational room had many different exercising machines, mostly aerobic and anaerobic. On the left side of the room was where all of the machines were, and on the right was where the restroom was. John walked over slowly, barely awake as he usually was after he awoke.

The restroom was pretty small, it had a sink in the corner; a waste unite on the opposite side and next to the unit was the Vibrational Shower.

The Waste Unit would fit around you like a diaper, but it was somewhat bulky. The waste unit disintegrated the waste that was inside the intestines and the bladder. It was a V-shaped object, white with a red streak meeting at a V in the center. There was a black panel that would state weather it was empty or not.

The Vibrational Shower created vibrations inside the cylinder like container that you would step into and all of the dirt would fall off of your skin. The cylinder had a clear glass window that you could open with the push of a button on the bottom of the unit, there was also a button that you would press with your foot on the bottom to open the glass from the inside. It was a white cylinder and was welded into the floor of the ship, because you need not replace the entire item, it just needed to have a new board placed inside to update the technology.

John took off his cloths he wore during the night and stepped into the Vibrational Shower. It began to quickly Vibrate when John pressed the button to start the vibrations on the back of the unit and it only took a mere seconds to complete the process of cleaning his body. Slowly he pushed the clear glass pane out of his way and strapped the WU on.

His bladder was extremely full from last night, he forgot to use it before he went to bed, but once he pressed the button to begin, on the black panel, he was suddenly relieved.

Now that John was more awake, he slipped into his clothing and walked out to the bridge. The Regulas Prime Station was only a few hundred Kilometers away. He sat down at the comm. panel, waiting for the usual greeting.

The station looked like a pole with a hollowed box in the center. That "box" was the docking station, the bottom was open in a small line from one end to the other, but the back was closed off which was made for more docking positions for ships. Inside the dock shined a golden color from the docking lights, illuminating the area. The pole shaped portion was where the people did their jobs in offices or any other kind of labor in a major station. A blue light slightly emanated from the windows, giving it a mystical look. The outer hull itself was white in original color, but the lights made it look a glowing blue. The real name of the station, the production model, was X-3104, which meant it was designed to defend itself, if necessary. The station did not have many weapons but all of the weapons it did have were powerful.

"INCOMING TRANSMISSION" stated the computer.

"Put it through computer." Replied John as he sat up in his char.

"ONE MOMENT PLEASE."

A slight pause came, but then, "What is your business here," the Ensign, with a white uniform, looked down to the console, "Venture?"

"I’ve come to see Colonel Bert, I have a shipment of Boranium for him." John smiled, the ensign was obviously new to his job.

The ensign’s voice was somewhat shaky and unsure, "Okay then, Venture, please proceed to docking bay Ten."

"Alright, thank you ensign."

"Enjoy your stay Venture. Out." He nodded and the screen went blank.

The Venture slowly moved past a few ships along the inside hull of the station. Most were of Republic origin, but some had bright colors on their hulls. The brilliant golden light illuminated the entire docking section and for the most part colored the ships inside. The docking bays used a universal connection that all ships under republic rule were required to have. The port was that of a circle and there were teeth at the sides to clamp the connection into place.
